It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!!
This is literally the song that plays on repeat in my head whenever I’m near a Lush store around Christmas time 😀
Although some of last year (or previous years faves) aren’t returning this year – here’s looking at you So White Bath Bomb, Peeping Santa Bubble Bar, Stardust Bath Bomb which were three of my all time faves from Lushmas 2016 – we have received an incredible selection for this year’s Christmas range!!! So, let’s get to it:
Heeee’s baaack and this year he is rocking a cute little scarf and seems to have gained a few kilo’s 😀 Full of gorgeous cocoa butter to moisturise skin, it’s great to use on its own, or paired with another bath bomb for extra indulgence! The kids will love him too!
Spicy and warming, this beautiful red bath bomb emblazoned with white reindeer to mimic a traditional Christmas themed sweater/ jumper is the perfect Christmas bath bomb! Filled with cinnamon, ginger, cloves and lemon oil, its not at all overpowering but rather, warming, slightly floral and fruity! One of our sweetheart Lush staff demo’ed one for me and I was amazed at how moisturising it is! The show is incredible too! Like a hot summer’s day sunset of deep reds to gold yellows. Being a slow fizzer (my fave) the show is so satisfying to watch unfold. I’m SO happy to have a spicy scented bath bomb in this years Christmas range!
The Celebrate (very similar to Bubbly shower gel) scented favourite bath bomb! It is HUGE and poops unicorn rainbows as it fizzes away leaving glittery green mermaid water! SO HAPPY to have this beauty back! 😀
Although the ever-popular Twilight bath bomb is available year-round, the Twilight scented Luxury Lush Pud is far superior in the gorgeous show it puts on in the bath! Modelled on the traditional English Christmas pudding, this bath bomb is an absolute treat! It has 4 coloured disks embedded into the white and hot pink body of the bath bomb. As it froths in the water, theses disks give off their gorgeous colour in streams of green, orange, blue and yellow and you’re left mesmerised by what is arguably one of Lush’s most stunning bath art bath bombs! To me, the tonka is predominant in the familiar lavendar-tonka Twilight scent. The rich, malty scent fills the bathroom, as the bath bomb bobs and oozes and is both a comforting and relaxing aroma. This will be a bath bomb I’ll be stocking up on!! To read my full review, click here.
If you love It’s Raining Men shower gel or Honey I Washed The Kids soap (HIWTK scent family), you will LOVE the Shoot For The Stars Bath Bomb! It was first introduced as part of the 2013 Christmas range and sported a different design. Now it is a beautiful blue and makes some of the most gorgeous mermaid waters! For those who have not yet smelt any of HIWTK scented products, your schnozzle is in for a treat! No honey is present in the ingredients list – it contains Brazilian orange oil and bergamot oil which together, creates the sweet honey-like scent. Combined with cocoa butter, the overall fragrance is a very comforting, buttery, sweet toffee-like aroma which is so moreish, it’s no surprise this is one of the most loved scent families that Lush have created! This is an ultra moisturising bath bomb and therefore one of my favourites! It has 6 gold, star-shaped bath melts (packed with oils) to nourish and replenish your skin. This bath bomb packs a lemony citrus punch with lemon, lime and grapefruit oils. It’s a bright and uplifting scent and contains a surprise centre that reveals itself as it fizzes away in the bath!
Almondy marzibain goodness (From the Snowcake scent family) and oh so nourishing for the skin due to golden cocoa butter melt! I love pairing this bath bomb melt with pretty much every standard bath bomb as its scent is the perfect compliment to any cocktail! It is just as gorgeous on its own as the oils slowly dissolve in golden little globules, dispersing along the surface of the water!
Trick or Treat, Smell my feet, Give me something CANDY SWEEEET! (My rendition of the Halloween rhyme whenever I think of Snow Fairy!!) I LOVE SNOW FAIRY OMGEEEE – Bubblegum, sweet, pink, candy floss goodness. If you don’t like sweet scents steer well clear of this one 😛 I am super excited to try the Jelly Bomb as I know the carrageenan (seaweed extract) is full of good stuff for your skin and when you step out the bath your body is super soft and comfortable feeling!! To use a jelly bomb, be careful when getting in and out the bath as it is quite a bit more slippery. Make sure the bath water is nice and hot so that the jelly dissolves away through the course of your bath. I know I’ve said this about a couple of bath bombs already but I am DEFINITELY stocking up on this one, especially when the sweets craving hits!
It glistens and gleams but is not what it seems!! With murumuru butter to soften and moisturise skin, once placed in a hot bath, its silver glisten unfurls to expose an array of gorgeous and mesmerising colours! Christmas Sweater puts on an incredible show but Star Light Sra Bright steals the show with a show that is just too magical to behold! Its scent is beautifully uplifting with lime oils, ginger and lavender oil but they blend seamlessly and create a fragrance that compliments the format of star light perfectly.
This is a bath bomb after my own heart! Peppermint and cocoa absolute, with the mint making way to all the buttery goodness of the cocoa and complimenting it in the most perfect way. I am a huge fan of Maypole soap and in that product the mint also graciously steps aside to allow the the maple syrup to sing – so if you love Maypole you will adore Thundersnow!! I honestly would never have thought to pair mint with such foodie scents but it works so incredibly well, I’ll take the lot! 😀 Oh and it isn’t called Thundersnow for nothing – the show in the bath is completely different to anything else Lush has done to date and I am SO excited to give this one a go (when we holiday further north and baths are not deemed a cardinal sin due to the crazy drought we’ve been experiencing!) Yum, yum, ALL the yum! SO excited for this one!
Look out for the next post that will round up the Christmas Bubble Bars
